Review by Emomeri Maryanne
A Ugandan Babe Podcast by an unforgettable voice belonging to a lady known as Kentaro who talks about anything; from movie reviews, books, pop culture to random debates. It’s clear that the lady runs her own show. Though the Podcaster is from Uganda, she’s based in the United Kingdom and the episodes are universal.
In the episodes, Kentaro brings out her bubbly side and in some, she’s the no-nonsense kind. Her daring and outspoken persona will make you want to listen more.
In the first episode, Kentaro explores her top 5 characters in the ABC show “Lost.” Look out for movie spoilers in her detailed episodes, though. In another episode, she gives a review of her best movie villains. I personally enjoyed the episodes where Kentaro puts on her feminist hat, like one where she defends Naomi Osaka and Simone Biles from Piers Morgan’s outrageous claims and criticisms.
Her random discussions mainly bring out how racism is portrayed in different settings and she gives the coded language used. For example in one episode, she breaks down the 4-hour interview conversation between Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan and exposes how Jordan Peterson blames climate change on a certain community in such an absurd way.
Episodes are released every Tuesday, Thursday and sometimes on Sundays but consistency is not a problem in this podcast. So far, there are 59 episodes. The 1st episode was released on 14th April 2021 and the latest episode was released on 14th March 2022. The episode releases are consistent. Most episodes are 12 to 18 minutes long while a few others run up to 40 minutes.
I love the choice of words in her discussions, they are straight up bold and logical. This is one of the podcasts you will listen to and not get bored; Kentaro knows how to keep her audience entertained.
