3: A Ticket, A Talk & An Incubator
We are not yet back regularly on here, but we must share these with you
1
The International Women’s Podcast Festival organised by Content is Queen is coming up this Saturday 18 June 2022. Of course, Africa Podfest cofounders are in the mix!
Melissa Mbugua will be giving a global keynote which will truly energise all of us.
Josephine Karianjahi will be speaking on a panel “Beyond Anglophone Podcasting” featuring leading podcast producers working to curate podcasts from across the Global South. We are excited to be part of this hybrid event in London.
We could not go without all of you! Content is Queen is looking to make a global impact with the festival and put women and other systemically marginalised genders at the forefront of podcasting. They’ve allocated several free virtual tickets for groups and communities like this one. Africa Podfest is extending this offering to you and your wider network of future shakers.

The DADA PODCAST INCUBATOR is the world’s first podcast and digital media incubation program specifically for women and non-binary people. The goal of this incubation program is to upskill, publish and create a platform for women whose stories and storytelling ideas can resonate globally.
The DADA PODCAST INCUBATOR was created by SemaBOX, Africa’s largest podcast incubator, and is implemented in collaboration with Baraza Media Lab in 2021.
DPI 2022 will be the second cohort of this incubation process. DPI 2022 will be implemented in 3 countries, Kenya, Uganda, and South Africa.
